Brewing Guide
How To Brew Hot Tea
Step 1: Heat It Up
Start by heating cold water.
For the best taste results, we recommend boiling water in a kettle (not a microwave) and using purified or spring water.
Bring the water to a gentle boil.
The ideal temperature for brewing black tea is 212 F.
TIPS:
Avoid pre-heating the water or letting it reach a rolling boil. This will inhibit the release of the leaves' flavor, causing a flat-tasting cup of tea.
Step 2: Let It Steep
Select your favorite Red Rose Tea and place the bag in a cup.
Once your water has reached the proper boiling point, pour it into the cup.
Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add sugar, milk, lemon, or other infusions to taste.
TIPS:
For a stronger cup, try adding another bag. A longer steep may bring out the bitterness in a cup of black tea.
If you're using a teapot, place one Red Rose Tea Bag in the teapot for each cup that you'll be pouring.
