One of Red Rose's favorite vegan ice cream recipes is our version of mint chocolate chip ice cream. We have a fun and tasteful treat that requires only a few ingredients and a blender to make.
No-churn ice cream is a simple method to making homemade ice cream without an ice cream maker and does not use eggs. Without the egg yolk, the ice cream is similar in flavor but is a bit icier and equally as delicious!
Red Rose's vegan and gluten-free recipe uses our zero sugar, zero calorie, zero guilt Red Rose Chocolate Mint Patty Tea rather than needing to add mint extract. Our Sweet Temptations tea favorite is a cool refreshing mint flavored treat with notes of rich creamy chocolate. It's also an herbal tea.
Mint chocolate chip ice cream ingredients
- 4 frozen bananas
- 1/2 cup oat milk or coconut milk
- ¼-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½-1 cup vegan dark chocolate chips
- 2 Red Rose Chocolate Mint Patty Tea tea bags
- 1/3-1/2 cup of hot water
*you can add a little cornstarch if you'd like to thicken the ice cream
Dairy free ice cream recipe
- Freeze 4 unpeeled bananas at least 4 hours in advance, or the night before.
- Brew the Red Rose Chocolate Mint Patty Tea and let steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Add the frozen bananas, dairy free milk, vanilla extract, and tea into the blend. Blend until it’s a smooth consistency.
- Pour into a pan loaf or square container. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Seal and freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
